Peony Roses

Peony Rose Wedding Flowers

The Peony Rose will always be a bride’s favourite and many brides book their Melbourne wedding date around the local season (October-December). 90% of Spring brides choose to have Peonies. They are a popular flower featured in Bridal Bouquets, Ceremony Flowers and Reception Flowers i.e. Table Centre Flowers, Archways etc. Available in Dark Red, Mid Red, Coral, Watermelon, Hot Pink, Mid Pink, Soft Pink, Blush and White colour tones. Colour varieties (red and coral) are the first to start flowering for the season, then pinks and white. White Peonies are not available until early-mid November depending on the weather and the season. Locally grown from November to December for approximately 6 weeks depending on weather/season.

Hydrangeas

Hydrangea Wedding Flowers

Hydrangeas are a classic old school flower which has come back into trend. Known for its extra large dense flower head and grown locally in amazing colours such as Blue, Purple, Plum, Hot Pink, Blush, White, Green and Autumnal tones. Many brides love Hydrangea as they carry many childhood memories. When the Summer season changes into Autumn the varieties change into moody and multi coloured green, plum and burgundy mixed tones. Not a flower that likes it hot and can wilt easily on hot days. Would not recommend for Bridal Bouquets that will spend a long time in the heat and out of water.  Locally grown from November - May depending on weather/season. Outside of this we source from Sydney.

David Austin Garden Rose

If you love Roses, you will know and love a David Austin Garden Rose. A popular flower featured in Bridal Bouquets either on mass or mixed with other favourites. Known for their shape/form and scent. Available only in Summer from December - May is best. During their peak time, the flower head is full, strong and large in size. Outside of their peak time, would recommend a glass house grown Rose. Available in every rose colour and each has an individual scent.

On trend brides are opting for an oversized and reflexed petal Rose as this style of Rose gives an incredible sense of impact. Imported from overseas countries such as Ecuador these oversized large heads are perfect for reflexing the petals back. Available in over 100 colour varieties including Secret Garden (our favourite), Red and Black. An import Rose has no fragrance or very very slight fragrance so not a good choice if you like the smell of fragrant Roses on your wedding.
