St Vincent's Private Fitzroy Flower Delivery
The Fitzroy site of St Vincent's Private is at 59 Victoria Parade, ten minutes from our Melbourne studio and beside a suburb we deliver to daily. Deliveries go to the ward reception, and an order before 1pm goes out the same day.

What This Hospital Publishes About Flowers
Two published rules apply at every St Vincent's Private site and we read them on 5 September 2026. Flowers are not permitted in intensive care, which the hospital attributes to space and infection control. Potted plants, orchids included, are asked to stay out of patient rooms. The source is the hospital site page.
Both calls added the same detail. Intensive care, oncology and the special units take no flowers and no plants. The hospital would rather nothing scented came in at all, pollens included, because it is large and busy and many rooms are shared.
Flowers to Victoria Parade, Fitzroy
This is the St Vincent's Private site with a maternity unit, so orders here divide between new baby arrangements and get well flowers. The hospital also lists neurosurgery, cardiac, orthopaedics, gastroenterology and hepatology, and urology.
Come in by the main entrance on Victoria Parade. Nothing is left at main reception, the delivery goes to the ward reception of the ward the patient is on, and that desk is staffed 7am to 7pm. We rang twice to be sure of it.
Fitzroy is one of our regular delivery suburbs, so a hospital order here joins a route our florists drive anyway rather than becoming a trip of its own, and Victoria Parade is a straight run from the studio.

Confirm the Details on the Day
The desk will confirm a ward for a florist given the correct legal name, and it will confirm the ward and nothing more. A bed number has to come from your side, and without one the delivery does not get accepted.
Make the call on the delivery day. Maternity in particular turns over quickly, and a bed number from yesterday is often wrong by the time the flowers reach the building, which is the point at which it becomes a refused delivery rather than an inconvenience.
Worth knowing if the patient has moved between the two St Vincent's sites. This one and Grey Street in East Melbourne are commonly confused and sit a short distance apart, and East Melbourne runs an internal courier between them.

Choosing for Either Ward
Cut Flowers Rather Than a Plant
Because potted plants are asked to stay out of rooms here, cut flowers in their own water vessel are the sensible choice. That covers both wards, sits on a small table without needing a vase, and goes home with the patient in the same bag.
Two Wards, Two Different Sends
A maternity room and a surgical room want different things. New baby arrangements can be brighter and are often shared with visitors, while a room after surgery does better with something low and easy to see past. Tell our florists which it is.
What to Include With the Order
The order needs the full legal name, the ward, a bed number, and a mobile for someone at the hospital that day. All four, because this is the hospital that told us plainly it will not accept a delivery missing any of them.

Visiting Hours, Trams and the Car Park
General visiting at Fitzroy is published as 2pm to 8pm, with maternity split into two shorter windows, 2pm to 4pm and again from 7pm to 8pm. Those hours came from the hospital own visiting page, read on 5 September 2026.
Parking is in a multi storey immediately behind the hospital in Fitzroy Street, with a ticket machine that takes cash or card. Weekday rates start at $10 for the first hour and cap at $30, weekends start at $6 and cap at $14, and patients can buy a five day pass for $95.
When Something Else Is Better
Plants are out under the hospital rule, and intensive care, oncology and the special units take nothing at all. Chocolates, a card or a gift for a new baby are outside all of that, and the studio will say honestly which is the better bet.
Fitzroy and the Rest of the Group
The suburb pages closest to the hospital are our Fitzroy florist page and Carlton and beyond. Its sister site in East Melbourne has a page at the East Melbourne site, and Epworth Freemasons is the other maternity hospital in this batch. All the suburbs we deliver to are on our Melbourne delivery area.
Fitzroy Delivery Questions
Can flowers reach St Vincent's Private Fitzroy today?
Yes, when the order is placed before 1pm, Monday to Saturday. They go to the ward reception, and the ward takes them in. We do not name an arrival hour.
Is there a flower policy at this hospital?
The hospital publishes two, and only two. Flowers cannot go into intensive care, and potted plants, orchids included, should not go into patient rooms. Reception added oncology, the special units, and a preference for nothing scented.
Do you deliver to the maternity ward?
Fitzroy is the St Vincent's Private site with maternity, so yes. Flowers are left at the maternity ward reception. Visiting there runs 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 8pm, which is worth knowing when you pick a day.
How do I make sure it gets to the right bed?
Ring the hospital on the delivery day and get the name as admitted, the ward and the bed, then put all three on the order. Reception told us plainly that a delivery missing any of them is not accepted.
What does parking cost for visitors?
The car park behind the hospital in Fitzroy Street charges from $10 for the first hour on weekdays with a $30 cap, and from $6 at weekends with a $14 cap. A five day patient pass is $95.
