Epworth Freemasons New Baby Flowers
Epworth Freemasons is at 320 Victoria Parade in East Melbourne and is the maternity site of the Epworth group. Most of what we send here is for a new baby, and it goes to the maternity ward reception on Level 2.

The Lily Rule at Every Epworth Hospital
Epworth publishes one flower rule and it applies across the group. Lilies are not allowed into any Epworth hospital because they are treated as a known allergen, and the wording on the site is that Epworth welcomes all other flowers. We read that on the Epworth Freemasons location page on 5 September 2026.
The maternity unit adds to it. When we rang on 7 September 2026 the answer was no lilies and no plants, nothing scented, and the ward can refuse flowers on the day. Our florists design around all of that automatically for an Epworth address.
New Baby Flowers for Epworth Freemasons
Main reception does not accept flower deliveries here. The western entrance is the one to use, and the delivery goes up to Level 2 when the ward is written on the label. Staff downstairs will point a driver the right way but will not take the box.
That desk is staffed 6am to 9pm, the longest hours of any hospital on these pages. Victoria Parade is a straight run from our Melbourne studio, and the run into East Melbourne is one our florists drive most weeks.
Freemasons is mainly a maternity hospital with doctor suites and day procedure practices attached, which is what shapes the orders. Stays are short, and a mother can be home inside two days, which is the most useful thing to know before you order.

Check With the Unit First
Maternity moves faster than any other ward. Ring the unit on the morning of the delivery and confirm the mother is still there and which room she is in, because a discharge inside two days is normal rather than unusual.
The hospital will confirm a ward and whether a mother is still in with the baby. It will also tell a family where they have gone if they have moved on to a hotel, which is not something it would say to a florist.
If she has been discharged by the time the flowers arrive, the delivery is refused. Nothing is held and nothing is forwarded, so the call on the day is what protects the order, and it takes a minute.

What to Send a New Mother
Nothing With Lilies in It
Every arrangement we send to an Epworth address is designed without lilies, and for Freemasons without anything strongly scented either. Roses, hydrangeas, ranunculus, disbuds and natives take their place, depending on what came off the market floor that morning.
Small Enough for a Maternity Room
A maternity room fills quickly with a cot, a bag and visitors, so something compact in its own vessel is easier to keep than a large arrangement that needs a vase and a clear surface. It also travels up to Level 2 more easily.
The Details to Send Us
We need the mother's full name as admitted, the ward or room, and a mobile number for someone at the hospital. Write the ward on the order and the delivery goes straight up rather than waiting on someone to work it out. New baby arrangements are the usual choice here.

Maternity Visiting, Entrances and Parking
Epworth publishes general visiting at Freemasons from 10am to 8pm daily, with maternity from 10am to 1pm and 4pm to 7pm and a rest period in between. The special care nursery allows parents at any hour, other visitors from 11am to 1pm and 4pm to 7pm, two at a cot side, and nobody under fourteen.
Parking is undercover beneath the medical centre, with metered spaces on the street. The first thirty minutes are free, a stay of eight to twenty four hours reaches $63, and there is a fifteen minute free area on level one for day procedure pick ups.
If the Ward Says No Flowers
The maternity ward can refuse flowers, and the special care nursery is stricter again. A gift for the baby or something for the room gets through where an arrangement might not, and the studio will tell you honestly which is the safer bet on the day.
Around Victoria Parade
Sending to an address nearby rather than the hospital? East Melbourne covers the suburb, and the Fitzroy page sits across Victoria Parade. The other Epworth site in this batch is Epworth Richmond, and St Vincent's Private Fitzroy is a few minutes away. Every suburb we cover is listed on where else we deliver in Melbourne.
Freemasons Questions We Get Asked
Can I send lilies to Epworth Freemasons?
No. Epworth does not allow lilies into any of its hospitals because of the allergy risk, and its site says all other flowers are welcome. Our florists design around it automatically for an Epworth address.
Where does the delivery actually go?
To the maternity ward reception on Level 2, by the western entrance. Main reception does not accept flower deliveries at this hospital, so the ward has to be on the label.
What time can flowers arrive?
We do not name a time. Order before 1pm and it goes out the same day, Monday to Saturday. The ward desk is staffed 6am to 9pm, which is a longer window than most.
What details do you need for a new baby delivery?
The mother's full name as admitted, the ward or room number, and a mobile for someone at the hospital. Confirm those with the unit on the day, since maternity stays are short.
When can visitors come to maternity?
Epworth publishes maternity visiting from 10am to 1pm and 4pm to 7pm with a rest period in between, and general wards from 10am to 8pm. Read on 5 September 2026.
