Fitzroy North flower delivery by Kate Hill Flowers

Fitzroy North Florist

Fitzroy North begins where Alexandra Parade meets Brunswick Street, a short trip north of our Southbank studio. Orders placed before 1pm leave Southbank the same day, Monday to Saturday, for the houses around Edinburgh Gardens, the St Georges Road end and the Scotchmer Street shops.

Delivering Across Fitzroy North

Edinburgh Gardens is the landmark people mention most, and a good share of what we send goes to the streets around it, such as Alfred Crescent, Rae Street and Freeman Street. Expect Victorian terraces and brick cottages, most with a small front garden and a gate. A gate code or a word about a side door is worth adding.

North of the gardens it gets quieter. The Scotchmer Street shops and the streets off St Georges Road are mostly homes, Queens Parade runs along the eastern side toward Clifton Hill, and the bike path on the old railway line cuts through the middle. Parking is easier up this end than near Alexandra Parade.

Fitzroy North Flowers, Chosen With Care

A Buyer the Market Knows

We have bought at the Melbourne market since 2007. Growers set their better lines aside for buyers they trust to come back, and they will take a box back from us without an argument when it falls short. That is the stock a Fitzroy North order starts from.

Nothing Leaves Without a Second Look

Stems are checked one at a time once they reach Southbank. Anything soft, marked or tired is set aside. What is left gets cleaned, cut and stood in fresh water, and your florist looks again as the design comes together.

A Vase Already Inside the Bag

A lot of these flowers end up waiting on a porch or in a front garden for a while. Our signature bag carries its own water vessel in the base, so the stems keep drinking until someone gets home. Give them fresh water daily. If something is not right, we replace it or refund it.

When Fitzroy North Sends Flowers

Birthdays and housewarmings lead the Fitzroy North orders, followed closely by new baby flowers and thank you arrangements. Sympathy flowers and anniversaries come through quietly all year. Our florists design to the person rather than a fixed recipe, working with disbuds, roses, lisianthus, tulips and the strongest stems on the market floor that morning.

Fitzroy North, Common Questions

Is same day delivery possible in Fitzroy North?

Yes, for orders placed before 1pm on a delivery day, which is Monday to Saturday. After that, choose the next delivery day at checkout.

What does it cost to deliver to Fitzroy North?

That comes down to the address. Enter Fitzroy North in the delivery suburb box on any product page and the price appears straight away, before you have picked anything.

Can you deliver near Edinburgh Gardens for a picnic?

Not into the park itself, since every order needs a street address. Pick a nearby house or business and add a phone number so we can call on arrival.

What happens if my Fitzroy North recipient is out?

Most houses here have a front garden or porch, so the flowers are left out of the sun if that is safe. If it is not, we contact you first. No answer means they return to our Southbank store, and we try you again about redelivery or collection.

When will my Fitzroy North flowers arrive?

Some time between 9am and 5pm on the day. We cannot lock in an exact time, but if they need to be there for something specific, like a lunch, put it in the checkout notes and we will try to work around it.
