In Spring 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with the iconic fashion house Perri Cutten for a truly unforgettable Melbourne fashion event.
Together, we transformed the Perri Cutten store windows into vibrant spring displays that captured the season's essence, culminating in a chic luncheon event at Enter Cote to showcase their stunning spring collection.
Perri Cutten: A Legacy of Style
For over 40 years, Perri Cutten has been a name synonymous with timeless elegance, dressing stylish Australian women in classic designs crafted from magnificent fabrics and perfected with superb cuts. Founded by Perri Cutten herself in 1981, the brand has grown into one of Australia's most esteemed fashion houses. Today, under the ownership of Will and Georgie Austin of the Austin Group, Perri Cutten continues to champion Australian-made and ethically-produced garments, staying true to its legacy.
A Spring Activation by Kate Hill
When Perri Cutten approached me to bring their store windows to life for Spring 2023, I was thrilled to take on the challenge. Working closely with their creative team, we designed a vibrant spring display for their stores across the country.
Spring is such a beautiful, inspiring time of year. It’s the perfect moment to celebrate new beginnings and nature’s gifts. For Perri’s windows, we used a selection of my favourite flowers from local growers, highlighting the importance of supporting local. As party and event season hits full swing, I'm excited by the season's colours that transcend fashion and flowers, radiating elevated style.
As part of our collaboration, we wanted to make a striking impact on their retail store windows. What better way to do that than by showcasing large, vibrant images of our spring flowers? To bring this vision to life, we partnered with our long-time collaborators at Grafico. Damien Corney and his talented team were the perfect choice to meticulously craft and install the stunning floral decals on the Perri Cutten store windows. We've trusted Damien and Grafico with our projects since their early days, and they continue to deliver exceptional work every time.
A Chic Luncheon Event at Entre Cote
To celebrate our collaboration, Will and Georgie Austin, along with the Perri Cutten creative team, hosted an exclusive luncheon at the stylish Entre Cote in Prahran. The private dining space was adorned with spring flowers, creating an elegant backdrop for an intimate showing of the spring collection. Each guest received a personal spring gift, and Melbourne's fashion elite enjoyed an afternoon of candid conversations, where Georgie Austin and Brahman Perera shared insights into the exciting store redesign collaboration.
Celebrating Melbourne Fashion and Floristry
This collaboration between Kate Hill Flowers and Perri Cutten was a true celebration of Melbourne's spring fashion and floristry. From the beautifully activated store windows to the chic luncheon event, it was an unforgettable highlight of the Melbourne spring fashion calendar. It was an honour to be part of an event that not only showcased the best of Melbourne's creative talents but also celebrated the enduring appeal of Perri Cutten's timeless designs.
