Getting Flowers to Rosanna

The shops near Rosanna station are the centre of things, and the streets around them are lined with mid century brick homes on big leafy blocks. Many have a long front garden and a path to the door, so we take the flowers up the path and knock rather than leave them at the gate.

Banyule Road heads down to the Yarra flats, and the streets on that side slope down to the parklands along the river. Lower Plenty Road carries most of the traffic through the middle. The Austin Hospital is close by in Heidelberg, and we deliver to patients there on the same run.

Rosanna flowers come from the Melbourne market, where we have bought since 2007. The growers know what we want and what we will send back, so the best of each line usually comes our way first.

Sorting Comes Before Designing

Each bunch is sorted at the Southbank bench before design. Anything marked or soft is set aside, the rest is cut, cleaned and stood in fresh water, and your florist gives every stem a second look while working.

A Water Vessel Under Every Bouquet

With longer gardens and paths here, flowers sometimes wait a while on the step. Our signature bag has a water vessel in the base, so they drink the whole time. Change the water daily once they are inside. If something is not right, we replace it or refund it.

Yes, order before 1pm and they will be delivered today. We deliver Monday to Saturday, and you can choose a later date at checkout if you would rather.

Can you deliver to a patient at the Austin Hospital?

Yes. Include the patient's full name, the ward and the bed number, and check they have not been discharged before you order. Flowers are handed in at the ward or the front desk, depending on what the hospital allows on the day.

What if no one answers the door in Rosanna?

If there is a sheltered step or porch, the flowers wait there in their water. Where there is nowhere safe, we ring you first. If we cannot get through, they come back to our Southbank store and we call again to arrange another delivery or collection.

What time will flowers reach Rosanna?

Rosanna deliveries are made between 9am and 5pm. For a hospital patient, earlier in the day is often better, so say so in the checkout notes and we will do what we can.
