Flowers Delivered Around Altona

Pier Street is the main shopping street, running down to the beach and the pier, with cafes, shops and services that take plenty of business deliveries. The streets either side are mostly older weatherboard and brick houses, many with low front fences and short paths to the door.

The Esplanade runs along the foreshore, and plenty of our Altona flowers go to the houses and apartments facing the water. It can get windy on the front, so a note about a sheltered door is helpful. Cherry Lake sits on the northern side, and Seaholme is just to the east along the bay.

The growers we buy from at the Melbourne market trust us to know good stock from bad, and we have been buying from them since 2007. That trust is what gets the better lines set aside for us.

Checked on the Southbank Bench

Each box is checked on the Southbank bench before a stem is used. Anything marked or soft comes out, the rest are trimmed and given clean water, and your florist goes over them again while designing.

A Vessel of Water in the Bag

Near the bay, flowers may wait on a porch out of the wind until someone comes home. Our signature bag has a vessel of water in its base, so they keep drinking. Give them fresh water every day. If something is not right, we replace it or refund it.

Altona sends birthday, anniversary and Mother's Day flowers to homes all along the bay, plus new baby arrangements and thank you bouquets for neighbours. Get well and sympathy flowers go out through the year. Yes, if the order is placed before 1pm. Delivery days are Monday to Saturday, and later orders go out on the next one.

Do you deliver to Seaholme and Altona Meadows?

Yes, both are on our delivery list, and the same 1pm order time applies for same day delivery.

What if my Altona recipient is out?

Houses near the bay often have a front porch where the flowers can wait in their water, out of the wind. If there is nowhere suitable, you get a call from us first. If we cannot reach you, they come back to our Southbank store and we ring again about redelivery or collection.

When will my Altona flowers arrive?

Same day orders arrive between 9am and 5pm. We cannot promise a particular time within that, but a note at checkout helps us plan when it matters.
