With Christmas just around the corner, we thought it would be good timing to reflect on a very special private Christmas dinner we styled last year.
With Eastern European traditions providing key cues for floral styling, we worked with a rich, warm colour palette of luxurious flowers and fresh food elements.
The styling of the dining table began with a thick bed of pea straw (which had Pagan symbolism) which seated groupings of red roses, Christmas spruce, green tric, succulents and red Christmas berries. Pillar candles were nestled between the pea straw and florals (a little nerve racking, but we’re happy to report nothing caught on fire!).
The Table setting was finished with a fresh apple placed on every guest napkin.
We brought in the most perfect 10 foot, fresh pine Christmas tree and decorated it with gold Mokara orchid garlands, masses of white fairy lights and finished with red and gold Christmas baubles.
The garden archway was decorated with lush green ivy berry foliage, white Singapore orchids, premium white garden roses, white Christmas lilies and green Dodda vine finished with hanging lanterns.
The desert buffet featured domes of red celosia, red smoke bush foliage, red Christmas berry foliage, moss spheres and green trick.
