Grocon End of Year Celebration

Grocon End of Year Celebration

End of year corporate events are always fun to work on as they seem to have that sense of it being the last day of school before summer holidays back when you were a child. One of the end of year event highlights for us was to be once again working on Grocon's annual end of year celebration in the very breathtaking Myer Mural Hall.

Mural Hall can be referred to as nothing less than a Melbourne treasure. Upon entering, you really do feel like you are stepping back in time and no detail has been overlooked in it's recent refurbishment.

In addition, The Big Group manage the venue, so should you be lucky enough to attend an event there, you can count on the food and service to be as exceptional as your surrounds.

The creative brief from Grocon for this event was to steer away from the traditions of Christmas styling, and use floral cues to bring a subtle Christmas feel to the room. We met this brief by using a contemporary 'on mass' look that still felt classic within the venue. Anything half hearted in this venue will simply be lost, so in the centre of the ballroom we featured masses of rich velvet red Mr Lincoln roses, hypericum red berries, Norwegian fragrant green spruce foliage, red celosia and red Mokara orchids and complimentary florals in the bar, credenza, sweet buffet station, and champagne station.

The pre dinner drinks bar/lounge featured a more chic style with masses of white Mokara orchids exploding from grouped cylinder vases and dozens of tea light candles to add ambiance to the room.
